Most interviews repeat the same handful of questions. Practising them out loud, not just in your head, is the fastest way to sound confident.
1. "Tell me about yourself."
Keep it under a minute: what you study or do now, one thing you're proud of, and why this role is your next step.
2. "Why do you want this role?"
Show you read about the company. Mention one specific thing (a product, a value, a project) and connect it to what you want to learn.
3. "Tell me about a time you failed."
Pick a real, small failure. Spend most of the answer on what you changed afterwards.
4. "Tell me about a time you worked in a team."
Use the STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Make your own action clear: "I", not just "we".
5. "Do you have any questions for us?"
Always say yes. Good options:
- "What does a great first three months look like in this role?"
- "How does the team give feedback?"
Tip: record yourself answering on your phone. You'll hear filler words and long pauses you didn't notice.
